On January 9th & 10th 2016, we will be kicking off the new year with a brand new program: DanceWorks!! DanceWorks will be equilibrium DanceWorks’ training program in the form of intensives, workshop series and other future events. The first of which will be our winter intensive: DanceWorks Winter Intensive 2016. This rigorous two-day program will push students in both Contemporary and Hip-Hop styles. DanceWorks recognizes that these are the two most popular and desirable styles of dance in the industry right now. We have a knowledgeable, experienced faculty who will focus on technique, performance quality and artistry/individuality.
Each day of the program includes three workshop classes and a Q&A/Mock Audition with a talent agent from BLOC NYC. Day ONE classes are all contemporary style classes and Day TWO classes are all hip hop style classes. Students can choose to register for one or both days of the program. Each workshop class will also be professionally photographed and videoed for students. Classes are approximately an hour and forty minutes long. The Q&A/Mock Audition classes are optional and open to all students. Every student will have the opportunity to “audition” in front of a real talent agent and will receive personal feedback on their technique, auditioning skills and personal style. This is a unique opportunity, as most dancers never get feedback following an audition.
DanceWorks Winter Intensive 2016 will be held on January 9th & 10th 2016 at Pearl Studios in New York City. Students can register online beginning November 24th, 2015. After you have completed your registration, you must also checkout and complete your tuition payment for your registration to be processed . Lack of payment will be taken as a forfeit of your spot and your registration will be marked incomplete. After registration has been completed, students will receive the daily schedule of classes and a copy of our liability form which must be completed, signed and returned by the first day of classes.
